Advocating for you, when you need it most
Time as a Prosecutor
I’m a dedicated attorney with a strong background in criminal prosecution. Before entering private practice, I served as a prosecutor for the State of New Mexico, where I handled a wide range of cases—from petty misdemeanors to serious violent felonies in the Major Crimes Division. I bring proven jury trial experience to the table, having successfully advocated for the State and secured favorable outcomes in court.
During my time at the District Attorney’s Office, I prosecuted hundreds of DWI cases and developed an in-depth understanding of the procedures, challenges, and nuances involved. My experience gives me unique insight into how the system works—knowledge I now use to protect the rights of my clients and build strong, strategic defenses.
I was born and raised in Albuquerque, I spent most of my early life in the South Valley. Eventually, I attended the University of New Mexico and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science. Before law school, I worked as a Background Intake Officer for Bernalillo Metropolitan Court for about two years. I then attended the University of New Mexico School of Law where I graduated and became licensed to practice in New Mexico. When I’m not practicing law I spend my time with my loving wife and our dog Penny; going to car shows, eating at our local favorite spots, and being with family.
Family Law
After being a prosecutor, I decided that I wanted to represent people instead of the State. I expanded my experience and worked for a national family law firm in New Mexico, where I handled extremely contentious cases and secured favorable results for my clients. Here I gained the experience of handling Divorces, Custody, Restraining Orders, and building strong relationships with my clients. My aggressive representation carries over into Family Law and my prior litigation experience ensures that I can advocate in the courtroom for my clients.
